Pallet Jack Lifts
The pallet jack also known by several names such as pallet lift, and pallet truck is a device used to lift heavy pallets and transport them from one location to another. Pallets could be the flat bottom blades of the pallet jack or the material that is being lifted and transported to another location. Pallet lifts take the pressure off individuals to move heavy boxes, or crates by brute physical strength. A Pallet lift will eliminate the need to have several people carrying the goods.
Pallets trucks have steel prongs called forks that clamp onto the boxes or crates and lift in directly onto the truck. There are different types of pallet lifts such as the manual pallet lift, and the electric or hydraulic pallet lift. As the name implies, the manual pallet lift is manipulated by hand, will the electric pallet lift is motorized. These pallet lifts can also be powered by diesel fuel.
The hydraulic pallet jacks (water powered) are widely used in the material handling industry. These models are efficient and cost effective. Hydraulic pallet jacks are small but of sturdy construction. Generally, they carry between one to 5 tons at a time but larger models can be utilized as well.
Manual pallet stackers are often used when loading and unloading material directly off of trucks. It is commonly used by small businesses and the employee clenches the handle that manipulates (pumps the hydraulic system) releasing the pressure to get this kind of forklift to move upward or forward. With the electric pallets stackers, the operator presses a lever to mobilize the machine. Some of the newer pallet stackers have scales that will weigh the material and move it at the same time.
